During REI's aptly titled Big Bike Sale, you can save over 30 percent on everything from a new electric bike to a new helmet or smart trainer. REI's biggest sale of the summer lasts just over a week, so make sure to check out some of our picks for the best deals on bikes, gear, and apparel below.

During the Big Bike Sale at REI, it would be criminal if the best deals weren't on bikes. Right now you can get both the REI Co-op Generation e1.1 and Generation e1.2 electric bikes at a massive discount. The e1.1 is currently on sale for 46 percent off the listed price, saving you around $700. The e1.2 is the newer, more expensive model, but the sales are larger as a result: You can buy one right now for 47 percent off, at a discount of over $900.

Outside of electric bikes, there are also major discounts on Cannondale models, including 20 percent off the Synapse AL 2 Bike, saving you over $300. You can also get your hands on a GT Avalanche Comp Mountain Bike for 25 percent off the listed price.

Alongside bikes, the REI Big Bike Sale covers tons of riding gear, including the Saris M2 Smart Trainer. The smart trainer can simulate up to a 15 percent climbing grade, and during this sale, you can save 50 percent on cost. You can also save 50 percent on a Junction biking helmet from Cannondale. This helmet comes in three different colors and two different sizes, so you can find one that best fits your taste (and your head).

If you need storage on your bike, check out REI Co-op's Beyonder Saddlebag Panniers. This bag fits comfortably on your bike and over your shoulder, and you can get it right now for 30 percent off. You can also get a pair of mountain bike shoes from PEARL iZUMi for nearly $50 less than the original listed price.

Don't let the sale pass by without picking up new apparel you can wear for both form and fashion. REI is offering serious discounts on its line of Co-op products, including 30 percent off both the Active Pursuits Cycling Jacket and Junction 2-in-1 Double Bike Shorts.
